Sjoukje van Gool (1982) is a Dutch visual artist and photographer whose work explores the inner world through natural elements such as water, flowers, skin and light. Her images shift between abstraction and figuration, revealing sensory impressions that echo emotion, memory, and the subconscious. Growing up surrounded by forests and water shaped her way of seeing and this connection to nature continues to inform her intuitive, process-driven approach.

Working from her underwater studio, garden, and the sea, she creates layered, poetic visuals that invite quiet reflection. She also handcrafts wooden frames from carefully selected materials, allowing image and object to merge into a unified, tactile experience.
