Sella Molenaar is a self-taught artist, living and working in Amsterdam. Her work is characterized by a love of paper, the mixing of materials, and the use of natural colors and organic forms.

Sella is an intuitive artist who creates space for experimentation and for what is allowed to emerge in the moment. Her work is always a reflection of what is unfolding in her inner world and in the world around her. Through overlap and layering in her mixed-media collages, an abstract, intuitive visual language emerges—one of feminine silhouettes and flowing lines, always balancing between technique and control and boundless freedom.
