Ceramist Mo Cornelisse creates unique porcelain pieces. Her works are 3-dimensional and distinguish themselves by form and simplicity and show the versatility of ceramics. She wants to show that you don’t just drink tea from porcelain.
Central to her work is the love of beauty and design. In her work, she searches for boundaries in form and material. She often combines porcelain with gold in her vases, wall objects and cubes.
Her latest work is larger than she has ever made: a hanging installation with seven kinds of porcelain, 2.5 metres high and 2 metres wide.
Mo Cornelisse studied at the Dutch Ceramics School in Gouda. She exhibited a.o. in Stockholm. Brussels, Milan, Amsterdam and New York.
