Lieke Anna sets off with a backpack containing three dresses, a tripod and a remote control. For example, on her last trip to Madeira, she found herself on a mountain above the clouds in a fairytale forest with fallen trees. Beautiful ingredients for a new series.

Lieke makes self-portraits. It started when she was fifteen, as an outlet for her thoughts and feelings. She chooses self-portraits, because then she has all the time to take the perfect picture. Her work is narrative, and still contains much of herself. She is always looking for the contrast between vulnerability and strength.

She made the book Ruimte met Stef Bos (Space with Stef Bos), with photos of her and poems and songtexts by Stef Bos. Lieke Anna studied at the Art Academy in Tilburg. She exhibited in Bruges, Hilversum and Amersfoort, among other places.
