Laura Scheringa

After my graduation from the Rietveld Academy I’ve been working on painting landscapes, in different styles and perspectives. Since the 1st of July 2023 as a self-employed full time artist, in my studio based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I work simultaneously on free work, travelling abroad for residencies to draw in nature and create art for galleries or on demand as commissioned.

I create landscape series that reflect the natural forces shaping the land. My Pastys and Bulkys feature stacked abstract forms with bold textures, vibrant neon colors, and organic shapes on natural linen.
