Jules Vissers
In her Atelier Taftique in Florence, Jules (born in Raamsdonk, Nederland) creates unique textile artworks, characterized by their three-dimensionality and the application of various techniques, both traditional and innovative.
She combines hand-tufting with embroidery, punch needle, felting, weaving, tatting and crochet. Her artworks are made with high-quality Italian yarns, using natural as well as recycled fibres, and are inspired by nature, art and Renaissance architecture.
Jules graduated Cum Laude in Art Textiles in 2020, after which she founded her atelier, fulfilling a life-long dream to start an artistic career. In 2024 she received the European Textile & Craft Award from the European Textile Academy in Bolzano and she was a finalist at the LVMH Masters of Excellence in Milan.
