Inge Bečka (1963) is a true virtuoso in working with porcelain. Since her 2-month working period in China from 2012, her career as an artist/designer has taken off.

The Blob, made of the most luxurious Chinese porcelain, is a 3d and graphic play. The interplay of lines is sleek, stylised and at the same time lavish and organic. The basic shape, starting from the ‘blob’ from architecture, is constantly deformed and unique in such a way as to create unexpected and innumerable harmonious compositions and perspectives of light, dark and everything in between.

Bečka embellishes, changes and alienates the basic function of an object as we know it. Baroque and austere, applied and free; the contrasts and combinations are uncertain and infinite in Inge Bečka’s work.

Her work is sold through galleries, fairs and interior stylists and museum shops including the Princessehof in Leeuwarden, Co van der Horst Design Village Amstelveen, Molteni &C Flagshipstore Valley MVRDV Zuid-as and Bas van Pelt Interieur The Hague. In 2015, Inge was invited to participate in the prestigious lifestyle fair LXRY at Amsterdam RAI. This resulted in presentations at Palazzo Turati – ‘The Dutch in Milano’ during the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2016 and 2017. There, the work was ‘picked up’ by Tools Galerie in Paris and work was acquired for a design fair in Dubai. From 2018, Inge participated in the exhibitions of Masterly The Hague; where contemporary art and design were presented in combination with paintings by Old Masters. She designs collections together with and for Menno Kroon. In 2019 and 2022, she organised an exhibition at Loods 6 Amsterdam for 30 artists and designers in 2019 and 2022. In early 2023, a collaboration with international styling and design agency Studio Piet Boon started and where work was acquired for Rosewood hotel in Miami, among others. A collaboration with Linteloo was launched in April 2024 for their presentation in Milan.
