Riot of Spring is a series of glass sculptures formed by applying molten strands to a blown base, capturing the tension between controlled craftsmanship and the spontaneous forces of heat, gravity, and movement.

Pressed glass vessel collection “Remix” is hand made in the Czech Republic by the sculptor Hana Hillerová, who’s work intersects collectible design and contemporary art. Each piece is unique. Hillerová repurposes historic metal moulds for glassmaking from Art Nouveau to Modernism as improvised assemblages into which hot glass is blown. The glass partially adopts their textures while escaping through gaps, creating fluid, unpredictable expansions. Each piece captures both the memory of its historical sources and the immediacy of its making. Due to the nature of the production, small bubbles or surface irregularities may be present.

The Riot of Spring collection is characterized by the layering of hot glass streams into unrepeatable organic structures that capture energy, movement, and the variability of the material. The vessels are created at AJETO Glassworks in Northern Bohemia together with a team of four glassblowers, in a process that could be described as drawing in space. Molten glass “strings” are poured onto blown vase bases, then shaped by hand using brass tools. The name refers to the Igor Stravinsky’s composition “Rite of Spring”. The vessels celebrate the unstoppable creative force of nature.
