Feddow Claassen (1970) is a visual artist, designer and inventor. He lives and works in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Playing with the duality of light and darkness, visibility and invisibility, and the progressive intensity of colour tones, his recent work gives a sense of infinite depth and challenges our perception of the world. The carefully drawn hollow or concentric shapes, astonishing in their size and beauty, become hand-painted vortexes that enchant the eye and draw you in.

Feddow trained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague before moving to New York to pursue a career in photography, specializing in fashion. After 4 years working abroad, Feddow returned to his homeland and branched out into industrial design, working with various brands and companies on the design of their products. He worked behind the scenes on exhibitions at many Dutch and Belgian museums, including Naturalis, Open Air Museum and the Amsterdam municipal archive. 

Over the last ten years, he has increasingly focused on creating his own pieces in which reflections, mirroring and perception of space form a pervasive and constant theme.
