Elise is a Belgian artist and art director based in Amsterdam. She gave her practice one rule: blue. What follows is an open-ended search through material and form, guided by curiosity. The restriction of color becomes a catalyst for material exploration.

She is fascinated by one simple idea: if you work with the same color over and over again, where can it take you? Therefore, her work is centered on experiments with the color blue. How can you translate emotions with only one color? How can you vary in texture and tell a different story? What if you let the medium define the composition?
