Christina Gschwantner
Christina Gschwantner (Vienna, 1975) studied painting and graphic arts at the University of Applied Arts, complemented by formative experiences in Greece, Mexico, New York, and Australia. Active as a freelance artist since 2003, she received scholarships from the Sussmann Foundation and the University of Applied Arts.
Her distinctive style merges expressive elements of Art Informel with structured clarity from Minimal Art. The result is rhythmic compositions that resonate deeply with viewers, evoking feelings of familiarity, joy, and thoughtful contemplation. Her paintings embody a dynamic balance—each work captures a living snapshot of visual and emotional relationships.
