Charlotte Burgmans
Working at the intersection of painting and sculpture, Charlotte Burgmans creates monochromatic wall reliefs that explore line, light and perception. Guided by a dialogue between precision and intuition, she layers wooden elements into compositions that respond to changing light and the viewer’s position. Her practice evolved from painting to sculptural wall reliefs, a transition recognized with Third Prize at the 2018 Laguna Beach Annual Juried Exhibition. She works from her studio in Hilversum, the Netherlands, and her work is exhibited internationally and held in private and corporate collections.
