Cedric Laquieze
Cedric Laquieze is an Amsterdam-based artist, born in Los Angeles and a graduate of the Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands. His distinctive use of unconventional materials blurs the boundaries between sculpture, fashion, and design, resulting in surreal celebrations of color, form, and transformation. From fairies crafted from insects to floral taxidermy and busts of ancient gods, his work continuously redefines the shapes of nature and explores themes of timeless beauty.
Laquieze’s wide-ranging creations have led to collaborations with brands such as IKEA, Shoebaloo, Iris van Herpen, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, and have been featured in numerous publications and interviews. His sculptures have been exhibited internationally in museums, galleries, and design centers, captivating audiences with their imaginative fusion of the natural and fantastical.
