Anton Shirkin
Anton Shirkin is born in Kiev – USSR. He studied classical painting and drawing both in Moscow and in Amsterdam.
His paintings, in oil on polished metal sheets, are reflective, both in appearance and in meaning. The viewer involuntarily becomes part of the composition by standing before the painting and being reflected in the varnish layer and the unpainted, mirrored metal fragments of the background.
