The tension between rational structure and sensory experience is a recurring feature. His use of monochromatic surfaces enhances the clarity of the forms while evoking a certain emotional resonance. The materials he uses-varying from corten steel, aluminum and stainless steel to MDF, dibond and glass-all contribute to the visual and physical experience of the work. The materiality is never decorative, but is entirely at the service of the form.
