Anne-Marije Middag is a Dutch artist based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The moment one observes, a judgment is already there. We look with expectations and assumptions. In her work, she explores how people relate to themselves, to others, and to their environment, confronting both herself as the creator and the viewer with how we see and judge. Can we delay our first interpretation to become more deeply connected with what surrounds us?
